PILED RETAINING & BASEMENT WALLS

Bored pile walls provide an effective solution for situ earth retaining structures and can be designed to suit specific ground conditions and performance requirements. Retaining wall can be constructed in a variety of soil using either standard auger (CFA) method. Piles are either interlocked (secant wall) or installed leaving a nominal 150 to 300mm gap between the piles (contiguous wall).

CONTIGUOUS PILE WALL

Contiguous pile wall is suitable to retaining stiff and cohesive subsoil and where ground water levels are below the eventual depth of excavation. Pile diameters range between 500mm and 900mm and are generally installed at distance of 130% diameter between each center of piles respectively thereby leaving gaps between the piles between 150mm and 300mm

SECANT PILE WALL

Secant bored pile walls are formed by constructing intersecting piles. It is formed by keeping spacing of piles less than diameter.
It is used to build cut off walls for the control of groundwater inflow and to minimize movement in weak and wet siols. Secant wall constructed in the form of hard/soft or hard/firm at any soil condition.
